Heat and Temperature in Phases Changes (Infographic)

Please use and share this inforgraphic with someone who needs to learn this material. My hope is that it will help to make it make sense. Heat and temperature are difficult concepts to understand. For example, when you add heat to boiling water it just continues to boil–its temperature does not go up. Also, if you cause a liquid to boil by reducing pressure but without adding heat then it will boil, and its temperature will fall. The problem is that sometimes heat causes temperature to change and sometimes it causes physical or chemical changes, with or without a change in temperature.

An infographic I created in order to communicate about how temperature and heat are related during changes of phase from solid to liquid to gas.
